If you only have 4 days but still want to visit the most famous parks of Tanzania (Serengeti and Ngorongoro, plus Manyara or Tarangire) this is the perfect tour for you. It only spends one night in Serengeti, which we usually think it’s too little, but if your timeframe is short and you really want to visit this amazing park, then it is the right choice for you.
Day 1: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Begin your day with a hotel pickup at 8am for an unforgettable journey through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. Despite its compact size (205 sq. miles), the park boasts breathtaking scenery and is renowned for its lush acacia forests, giant figs, and mahogany trees. Encounter a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, impalas, and buffalo, along with a thriving population of baboons and blue monkeys. Keep an eye out for the unique tree-climbing lions, flamingos along the lakeshore, and bird species like the Ground Hornbill and Crested Eagle. Enjoy stunning photo opportunities of giraffes and buffalo against the backdrop of the lake and its flamingos during your game drive. Optional extra tours such as a bike tour or boat excursion are available. In the afternoon, transfer to the camp for dinner.
“SOME UNIQUE FACTS ABOUT THIS PARK INCLUDE THE TREE CLIMBING LIONS, FLAMINGOS IN THE LAKE SHORE, AS WELL AS THE GROUND HORNBILL AND THE CRESTED EAGLE.”

Day 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, embark on a journey to the renowned Serengeti National Park. Along the way, marvel at the breathtaking view of Ngorongoro Crater from the crater highlands. As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, witness its vast “endless plains” stretching over 6,900 square miles, home to the iconic Great Migration of wildebeests, zebras, and various antelopes. Keep an eye out for Big Cats and other predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The park also teems with diverse wildlife, including smaller animals and over 500 bird species. Optional stops include a visit to Olduvai Gorge, renowned for its archaeological significance and the discovery of early human remains by Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey. Experience a short lecture and museum visit to delve into the rich history of this remarkable site.

Day 3: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO
On this day we suggest a very early wake up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. It’s really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we return to the camp for a rewarding brunch and then we’ll proceed to Ngorongoro, the 8th wonder of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102 sq. miles and has 2.000 ft high walls, making it virtually a Noah’s ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black Rhino. The concentration of African wildlife if the greatest in the continent. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. This is due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.
You will reach Ngorongoro in time for a sundowner.

Day 4: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA
We will start the day very early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo Lake. After lunch, we will have time for a short game drive and then ascend the crater and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Arusha. We expect to be back in Arusha around 5pm although we are flexible in case there is a flight to catch or another situation.
